| The aim of this study was to clarify our understanding of the history of the Bosporus queen Gepaepyris' reign. As a result of studying her gold and bronze coins, it was established that she ruled the Bosporus as a full sovereign, a representative of the Sapes and Zenonid dynasties who were akin to Julio-Claudian dynasty. Gepaepyris expressed the Roman interests in the region. |
