| The article presents a study of Russian words with alternation in the root -а-(-я-) / -им- . Based on the material of the Old Russian language, we reveal the alternation -е- / -и- in these roots, and determine the patterns of alternation and the reasons for its loss. The words with -нимать are considered in comparison with words with a similar alternation -е- / -и- in the roots of words presented in the rules of modern spelling guides. |
