The article deals with current issues of application of the administrative penalties to violators of migration rules. Based on the legal doctrine, the author's definition of administrative responsibility measures aimed at providing migration security is formulated. Various types of administrative punishments, features and specifics of their application in accordance with the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation in comparison with the draft of Code of the Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation are analyzed. The results of judicial law enforcement practice are analyzed. There are the Russian Federation administrative legislation improvement measures are proposed.
