| The author points out that in the temporal culture of the Old Rus elite no later than the XI century the idea is fixed, according to which each day of the year is accompanied by its heavenly patron, determined by the church calendar. The timing of the beginning of an important business to a certain day of the church year allowed to hope that the patron of this day would also be an assistant in the business being started. |
