| The article explores one of the fascinating episodes in Peter Shenshin’s life - his participation in the events of the Eastern Crisis (1875-1878). The younger brother of Russian poet Afanasy Fet, Peter Shenshin fought as volunteer in Herzegovina (1875), in the Serbo-Turkish war (1876) and the Russo-Turkish war (1875-1878). The author concludes that Peter Shenshin’s journey was largely related to his emotional nature and personal problems. |
