The New Great Game in modern historiography means rivalry of world and region powers in the Central Asia Region. This term arose in 1994 due to collapse of Soviet Union. Main content of New Great Game become the struggle for resources. Use of this concept turns out under the criticism for its neocolonial nature. New Great game, as concept, tends to evolution. It went through the several stages, coincided with huge shifts of international relations. At the same time, the popularity of term negatively affects the academic rigor of its use. Analysis of game connotations of concept discovers specific attributes. They extend on foreign policy at all and reveal its simulation nature and signs of new regime of temporality.
