The results of a study devoted to identifying the problems of higher education security in modern conditions of socio-economic development of the state and society are given. The general characteristics of the types of security of higher education are presented. It is noted that the introduction of information technologies into educational processes creates a certain risk for the security of higher education. The security indicators of higher education that affect the level of protection of the information infrastructure of a higher educational institution are highlighted.
