The article considers current issues related to the implementation of modern artificial intelligence technologies in the activities of government bodies. Positive and negative aspects of using artificial intelligence in the activities of government bodies are determined. Emphasis is placed on the possibility of using generative artificial intelligence in making administrative decisions by government bodies. The main obstacles to the implementation of artificial intelligence in modern Russia are indicated and analyzed. The main types of threats to the use of artificial intelligence in making administrative decisions are highlighted. As a result, the author of the article comes to the conclusion that the implementation and use of artificial intelligence technologies in the activities of government bodies in the very near future is inevitable
