| In solids with dislocations, a propagating longitudinal acoustic wave has been shown to originate a quadratic nonlinearity which may lead to second-harmonic generation. Characteristic distance has been obtained at which a significant energy transfer from the first harmonic into the second one can be expected. Dependences of this distance on the frequency of the main wave, mass of dislocations and acoustic-dislocation interaction coefficient have been analyzed. |
