Abstract
A simple and effective method to determine the dynamic friction coefficient on the basis of the Kolsky method modification has been proposed. The numerical analysis of this technique has shown that the experimental scheme provides an adequate determination of the sliding friction coefficient while the static friction coefficient determination requires a calculated correction of the measured force.
