| The author presents the results of his analysis of the metaphorical potential of the Russian derivation system. The
concept “derivational metaphor” is explained and the types of derivational metaphors depending on the degree of their
semantic connection with the derivator are considered. Derivational activity of the derivatives with metaphorical motivation
is revealed. |
