Positive selective feedback in an amplifier allows a considerable reduction of the pass-band of the system resonant curve as compared to the feedback circuit resonant curve due to an increase in the feedback factor. At the same time, however, the system self-excitation stability margin goes down.
An amplifier with an n-degree multiple-loop positive feedback (n = 2, 3 …) has been proposed and studied. The multiple-loop positive feedback is an effective tool to infinitely reduce the system resonant curve passband while retaining the same system stability to self-excitation.
