This article observes the growing interest in flute from an aesthetical point of view throughout the beginning of the twentieth century. Focused on the compositions that defined the establishment of the instrument, works by Debussy, Ravel, Mahler, composers of the «Les Six» are presented in support of the growth of the flute in the twentieth century as a self-sufficient instrument. |
