The article is focused on a relatively scarcely studied aspect in the analysis of Soviet political oratory - determination of logical and notional toposes of speech formation. The author comes to the conclusion that the texts of Soviet political journalism were drawn up by the use of not only internal and external toposes, but also of the so-called logical and notional generalities occupying the intermediate position between internal and external toposes.
