The influence of the ageing process on the parameters of corrosion-fatigue strength of low-carbon steels is investigated. An exponential dependence has been found of the number of cycles before the crack origin on the applied pressure amplitude. The parameters of this dependence are defined by the steel structure and to a large degree
depend on the release of carbide particles at grain boundaries. A model of corrosion-fatigue crack origin is proposed on the basis of which the analysis is carried out of the influence of steel structure parameters on their susceptibility to corrosion-fatigue destruction. Calculation results are compared with experimental data. |
