| The article discusses ameliorative strategies of speech communication as a means for harmonization of relations between communicators. A compliment as a positive evaluative speech act serves as a sort of tactics realizing the verbal strategy of controlling the distance. Such tactics contribute to the improvement of interpersonal relations and their harmonization. Emotionally-evaluative compounds are an indicator of the communicative intention of the author of speech to express positive emotions in reference to the object of evaluation. |
