| The article analyzes the forms and manifestations of the population's behavioral reactions to the beginning of
the Great Patriotic War. Based on the study of a wide range of sources, the author shows that these reactions had
both constructive and destructive aspects. The dependence of these reactions on the psychological attitude of the
