| We consider the story "Death of a Russian landowner" where the protagonist Sherlock Holmes suggests that Alyosha could be the murderer of the old Karamazov in Dostoevsky`s novel. Although this version should be regarded as a literary game with the reader rather than a profound understanding of the novel, the conclusion is made that the author of the story raised an important problem related to the character of Alyosha and his fate. |
