Abstract
The processes of a shock wave passage through bulk gas-permeable layers of metal balls are studied by numerical simulation methods. The main parameters of transmitted and reflected shock waves (pressure, density, speed, temperature) are analyzed. We reveal the most significant factors determining these processes, including gas viscosity, heat transfer between gas and metal, and packing density.
