Abstract
Simulation of lithosphere dynamic processes is considered. An overview of spherical block model modifications developed by the authors is presented, the main emphasis being paid to the one which takes into account earth's crust heterogeneity. Application of parallel technologies to software implementation of numerical algorithms is discussed. Results of numerical experiments with an approximation of the global system of tectonic plates are described.
