| A reagentless acoustic method for determining the erythrocyte sedimentation rate in human whole blood has been developed. The method is based on time-dependent measurements of ultrasonic velocity in whole blood. Laboratory and clinical trials of the method have shown a high degree of correlation with traditional methods. |
