| The article presents the semiotic analysis of the evolution of sacral symbolism of a medieval Russian city. An attempt is made to show the path of evolution of pagan and Christian conceptions of time and space, and also to track the deviation of consecrating symbols and their influence on the thinking of medieval man. |
