| We consider some problems related to defining the morphemic status of units having a transitional character from a root to an affix. The results of the analysis of an international element multi- (мульти-) show that the element can be qualified as a prefixoid in the English language. In the Russian language, the formant мульти- has a diffusive character, being closer to a prefix. |
