Recently, there has been considerable interest concerning the role of nitric oxide in the course of pathologies with chronic or acute inflammation. Insufficient or excessive production of nitric oxide characterizes the presence of endothelial dysfunction associated with the state of platelet hemostasis and is a major risk factor for various diseases, including metabolic syndrome. |
