Abstract
The analysis of the content of phenolic compounds (the sum of soluble phenolic compounds, flavonoids and anthocyanins) and ascorbic acid of three species of blueberries: northern highbush blueberry and black highbush blueberry introduced in the Botanical garden of Nizhni Novgorod State University, and northern bilberry, which grows in forest areas of the Nizhni Novgorod region was conducted. It was revealed that the ability of northern highbush blueberry to synthesize phenols and ascorbic acid is not inferior to that of northern bilberry, and is even superior to it in terms of berries.
