Abstract
In this study, we analysed the frequency of occurrence of «A» and «G» alleles in single nucleotide polymorphisms -670A/G and -1377G/A localized in the promoter region of the Fas/CD95 gene, as well as in 564A/G identified in the coding ligand-binding site of DR3/LARD that were detected in the blood of healthy donors, at herpes viral infection and colon cancer. The results obtained are preliminary and indicate the possibility of a link between allelic variations in single nucleotide polymorphisms in the promoter region of the Fas/CD95 gene and the development of herpes viral infection and colon cancer. For single nucleotide polymorphism in the coding region of the DR3/LARD gene, such a correlation has not been revealed.
