Abstract
The BCG vaccine in vitro has been shown to induce the phenotypic maturation of adult and neonatal dendritic cells and to increase their ability to stimulate interferon-? production by lymphocytes. The BCG vaccine enhances the ability of adult dendritic cells to stimulate tumor necrosis factor-? production and has almost no effect on this parameter in neonatal dendritic cells.
