The character of beta-adrenoblockers’ influence on blood lipid spectrum in heart failure depended on its selectivity for ?
1-adrenoreceptors. The most selective drugs nebivolol and metoprolol had a metabolic neutral profile of action, and nebivolol even decreased lipoproteins of very low density concentration. Less selective and especially nonselective beta-adrenoblockers pindolol and propranolol brought down high-density lipoproteins levels increasing atherogenic potential of plasma. |
