| Conditions of stability of steady motion of a heavy ellipsoid of revolution on a horizontal plane with a viscous friction are analyzed. Comparison of results with similar problems of ellipsoid motions on absolutely smooth and absolutely rough surfaces is discussed. Geometrical interpretation of the results is given. |
