| The article analyzes the process of forming and development of the relations between Pontus and Rome from the time of Pharnaces I to the beginning of the wars of Mithridates Eupator against Rome. The author comes to the conclusion that friendship and alliance between Pontus and Rome were concluded by Pharnaces I and that the nature of the relations between the states had not changed up to the rule of Mithridates Eupator. |
