The article contains the analysis of the most topical problems in the new media epoch, of the relations between opportunities and losses in the process of creation of innovative models of human life environment, arising out of the media culture development in the 21st century. It is stated that under conditions of information technologies development, which contribute to the creation of innovative social cooperation models, there also appear some elements of instability, which can result in the vulnerability of public security.
