| This article deals with the medical vocabulary, which is used as a metaphor in means of expressiveness in “Satiricon” by Petronius. The metaphorical transfer of the meaning of one word to an object in this work by Petronius is provided by the similarity of qualities of different objects. Medical vocabulary became a source of images in the literature of the antiquity. |
