| We examine some documents from the archives of A.N. Yakovlev, a Soviet political and public figure, related to Maxim Gorky. We introduce into scholarly circulation a number of documents that testify to the use of Gorky’s name and work in anti-American propaganda, which began in the USSR in 1949. |
