The results of the investigation by the acoustic, optical, and eddy current methods of the 08Cr18Ni10Ti and 15UTA steels subjected to fatigue failure are presented. Based on the experimental results, dependcies of acoustic parameters on the characteristics of the microplasticity are obtained. The investigation showed a significant change of acoustic parameters, microplastic characteristics and structural changes in the 15UTA and 08Cr18Ni10Ti steels under fatigue loading at an early stage of fracture up to the formation of a macrocrack.
