| A contact problem for a rigid body with regular surface roughness sliding on the boundary of a viscoelastic foundation is solved, taking into account molecular attraction in the interface. The combined influence of the imperfect elasticity, microgeometry of the surfaces, and adhesive interaction between them on the contact characteristics (contact pressure distribution, real contact area) and sliding friction force is analyzed. |
