| The article examines some issues related to the history of the formation of the Sokolov merchant dynasty in the 17th - early 18th centuries and, in particular, the reasons for moving their main business interests from Balakhna to Solikamsk. By using the example of the Sokolovs' history, the author elucidates the specifics of interaction between Balakhna and Solikamsk, the two salt production centers of the 17th century. |
