The article presents the results of our study of specific religious objects, kernoi, fragments of which were found in the sanctuary of Demeter and Kore on the Asian shore of the Cimmerian Bosporus, in the settlement «Beregovoy 4». In this sanctuary, kernoi of two types have been found in the layer dating to the end of the 6th - the first half of the 5th cen-tury BC. The author analyzes and interprets the archaeological contexts in which fragments of kernoi were found, by their shape and proportion in the complexes, as well as occurrence in other sanctuaries in the Mediterranean centers and the Bosporus.
