In this article, we analyze the experience of interaction between press services of the regional government in the context of a new media environment being formed. We also consider some specific features of working in the Internet with the audience and the media and give a list of tools and technologies for presenting materials that are necessary for communication work. It is important to take into account the fact that innovative information processes develop in each region at a different pace, which depends on various factors. The article presents an analysis of the communication work of the government bodies through the prism of different forms of communication: oral, written, and a combination of oral and written communication. Effective use of all forms of interaction is a necessary condition for successful work of public relations services in the modern information environment. Based on the results of the content analysis, it can be concluded that press services of the government bodies in the Nizhni Novgorod region use all types of information impact on the audience.
