| The article deals with some problems related to official translation and interpretation during court proceedings and pretrial investigation. The necessity to create in Russia a new institution of sworn translators and interpreters is emphasized. The authors present a draft project of comprehensive legal regulation of this area prepared by an initiative group created within the Union of Translators of Russia. |
