The article reveals and describes system functional relations and interaction between the grammatical categories of the verb, as illustrated by specific language material. The following methods of research have been used: observation, description, functional-semantic analysis. Our study has revealed that there are various types of interaction between the grammatical categories of the verb in the process of its functioning. The most interesting cases of functioning of grammar forms appear when systemically compatible categories and grammemes (grammar forms) interact between themselves. When systemically incompatible grammar forms interact, some paradigmatic restrictions can be overcome through the context and situation; as a result, some hidden, implicit grammatical meanings are expressed.
