The article deals with interpretation of nationally conditioned content in natural language units and categories at the different levels of the system and its speech realization using the example of the contrastive conceptual analysis of cognitive markers of the concept «nadezhda» and «omid / ommid» («hope»), accordingly, in Russian and Persian language consciousness. The research shows that in the nuclear part of their conceptual content these concepts are comparable, since they have similar sets of most cognitive markers. Some conceptual differences are related to the national and cultural specific features of the concept. Thus, correlation with VERA («faith») and with modal semantics representing a weаk degree of confidence (related to Russian AVOS’ («by guesswork») is not detected in the Persian variant. At the same time, a certain desemantization of the concept occurs in the Persian language, which is related to its usage in a farewell etiquette speech formula, while a similar phenomenon is far less represented in Russian.
