The effect of 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropyl-2-fluoro-acrylate as a comonomer in the photopolymerizable system 2-
ethylhexyl acrylate-acrylic acid on the electro-optical characteristics of the polymer composite films with liquid
crystal E7 has been studied. It is shown that the introduction of fluorinated acrylate results in a more complete phase
separation of polymer and liquid crystal phases, and reduces the interfacial adhesion energy. With the optimum content
of fluorinated acrylate of about 1-3 mol %, a reduction of driving voltages and memory effect of the films, as
well as an increase of contrast is observed.
