Abstract
It is shown that the effect of small doses of ionizing radiation (from 0.04 to 0.33 mGy) on human whole blood leads to nonlinear changes of erythrocyte hemolysis induced by hypo- and hyperosmotic exposure: initial enhancement of hemolysis is replaced by partial recovery and stabilization of the osmotic resistance of erythrocytes.
