Age-dependent dynamics of sensitivity to androstenone in various concentrations was studied in males. Vanillin
was used as a reference odorous substance. It was shown that in boys aged 2-4 years the sensitivity to androstenone
was 2.5 times higher than in sexually mature men aged 19-30 years. Sensitivity to this odor decreases as boys approach
puberty. |
