| The trend toward internationalization in the language of regional print media is considered. Derivational
processes associated with the production of usual and occasional neologisms on the basis of foreign lexicon and with
the use of elements of borrowed character show the patterns in the development of word-formation and lexical systems
of the modern Russian language at the turn of the century. Neologisms in mass-media are not only the means of
nomination of socially and culturally significant realities of modern life of the society, but also a way of their emotional
evaluation. |
