Abstract
Possibilities of creation of pulsations in a liquid flow as a result of self-oscillations of a limited artificial gas cavity are substantiated. Such a cavity can be created by pumping gas in the zone of separation of the stream behind the cavitator, installed in the hydraulic duct, while limiting the development of a cavity in the axial direction is provided with the local type of a throttle washer-type hydro- resistance installed lower along the stream. Based on the developed mathematical model of the cavitation flow, conditions of realization of self-oscillations in the system are revealed; possibility of realization of pulsating flows in a wide low-frequency range (2?100 Hz) is shown.
