The diffusive-kinetic model for gasification of porous carbon particle in gaseous reactants (steam and carbon dioxide) is considered. The model considers heat and mass transfer both inside the porous particle and in gas phase outside the particle. Heat losses by radiation from the particle to a furnace wall are taken into account as well. The analysis of the model gives a possibility to determine the basis heterogeneous reactions are occurred on the internal surface of the porous particle. The dependences of the particle gasification rate on furnace temperature, pressure, size of the particle and value of the internal surface are determined.
