Abstract
A multi-component flow model with cluster interaction between the components and the mixture is considered. The necessary conditions for deriving conservation laws for the mixture by summing conservation laws for the components have the form of forces and energy flows. An equation for volume concentration and an equation which relates the velocity of the shock wave in the component with the velocity of the shock wave in the mixture are proposed and validated. Specific experiments on shock propagation in a mixture were considered and modeled.
