A general hydrodynamic model of gravitational convection developing in a two-phase disperse medium due to gravity- induced sedimentation of the dispersed phase is constructed. Some limiting cases of this model, which describe gravitational convection in «large» (as compared to the particle velocity relaxation length) vessels, were investigated. Numerical modeling of these cases was performed and the inclination angles of the vessel, which correspond to the minimum time of sedimentation of the dispersed admixture, are obtained.
