Abstract
The experiments conducted to investigate the various construction solutions for hydraulic supports have demonstrated the presence of the metal suspensions of 10-8 to 10-6 m size. It was suggested that these particles caused by the micro hydro blows. These blows could be excited by collapse of cavitational bubbles in the working medium, which appear as a result of turbulent flow in working medium through throttle channel of hydraulic support. The principal causes of cavitation of a hydraulic support are considered and the ways and recommendations for their reduction are suggested. Results of the research conducted in the testing laboratory of Nizhniy Novgorod branch of IMASH, Russian Academy of Sciences, are presented. Various methods of reduc- tion and, as a consequence, elimination of cavitation of a hydraulic vibration support are considered.
